The Seattle Seahawks staged a remarkable fightback to overcome the Rams in extra time, securing their place in the NFL play-offs.

Overcoming a 30-14 deficit in the fourth quarter, the Seahawks triumphed 38-37 at home, registering their fifth straight win.

While the Rams had already secured a playoff berth earlier on Sunday, the Seahawks secured their place to the play-offs after a 24-month hiatus.

With this result, the Seattle now lead their division's race with a 12-3 mark, replacing the Rams, who fell to the fifth playoff position with an 11-4 record.

Quarterback Sam Darnold threw two picks but recovered to deliver two scoring throws, including the second score to wideout Jaxon Smith-Njigba in the extra period.

The Rams held a six-point advantage at the break before Walker burst through for a 55-yard scoring dash for Seattle.

Los Angeles defensive back Wallace then returned Darnold's first interception for 56 yards, setting up a short score by Corum on the ensuing snap.

In the fourth quarter, a scoring pass from Matthew Stafford to Nacua extended the Rams' lead to sixteen points, but Shaheed provided the comeback with a 58-yard punt return.

Darnold then connected with AJ Barner in the endzone, and a successful two-point play sent the game into overtime.

Although Puka Nacua scored for his another TD in overtime, Jaxon Smith-Njigba responded in kind to set up the game-winning score.
